BBC publicized report “The Phuket property nightmare” in form of magazine, specifying Jonathan Head as an author. The mentioned report narrated the life of Ian Marshall Rance, the first defendant, claimed that he was allegedly scammed out of all of his investment fund and properties in Phuket by his ex-wife. In this process his ex-wife forged his signature and notarized by local lawyer, Pratuan, the plaintiff of this case, without his present. Then Pratuan sued defamation case against Ian Rance and Jonathan Head saying that they violated on criminal code and Computer Crime act. The defendants pleaded not guilty in the court on February 23, 2017
