Ruecha: Mother Earth posted facebook

Ruecha, the retried military sergeant was arrested by about 20 officials at his house in Rayong province. The authorities informed him that the arrest was due to his facebook comments that deemed to be a defamation against the queen and the heir apparent. The authorities also confiscated his computer, tablet and cell phones.

Ruecha was held at the Military Circle 11 for interogation, he was later remanded at the Bangkok Remand Prison during the interrogation phase for 234 days. Doctor said he was mentally ill and not capable to fight his case.  Ruecha got bail after that with 400,000 baht and the case was disposed.

Military Court hardly tried the case due to the condition of the defendant until the case was transferred back to normal court. Even though the doctor insisted the same condition but the Crminal Court ordered to bring back the case for trial. The witness examinations were conducted under a closed trial and the court sentenced for 5 months and 50 days in prison. Ruecha was detained in prison for longer time then he does not have to be imprisoned again.
