Since January 5, 2019, the Twitter hashtag #SaveRahaf took over the social media after it was widely reported that an 18-year-old Saudi woman, was arrested and detained at Suvarnabhumi Airport by the Thai immigration authorities.

แม้ว่า Rahaf Mohammed Alqunun สาวชาวซาอุดิอาระเบีย จะมีประเทศที่สามรับเธอให้เข้าไปลี้ภัยแล้ว แต่เรื่องของเธอช่วยทำให้สังคมไทยได้ทบทวนบทบาทของรัฐที่มีต่อผู้ลี้ภัยว่า ต้องดำเนินการตามแนวทางหลักสิทธิมนุษยชน หรือยึดตามหลักต่างตอบแทนโดยส่งผู้ลี้ภัยกลับตามคำร้องขอของมิตรประเทศ
