The first picture that comes to mind with the words “Thai Federation,” about which there has been some news reporting, is a black T-shirt with a little white, red, and white strip up on left side of the chest as worn by Wanapa, the person who drove a bike for hire, who soldiers detained and took to Military Circle 11.

As far as I can recalled, New started his activism in 2011 while he studied in the second year at Thammasart University. Initially I thought my son just taken part in ordinary student activity like a rural development volunteer camp but later on I realized that his activism was extraordinary.

Thailand’s relationship with democracy, since the 1932 Siam revolution, is not one characterized by consistency. Prayut continue as Prime Minister. The irregularities of his appointment should disqualify him from fairly being head of government.

The forthcoming elections in 2019 will be the first under 2017 Constitution and its ensuing organic laws. These legal frameworks are set to subject political parties to many challenges. It is obvious that these rule have been designed to become “Elections of the NCPO, by the NCPO and for the NCPO”.
