On 18 July 2020, Free Youth organized big protest at the Democracy Monument, initially the organizer planed to stay over at the monument but later they decided to call off the protest around 1 pm. On 19 July 2020, Col.Nusra Vorapatratorn deputy speaker of the Royal Thai Army posted message on her personal Facebook account criticized demand of Free Youth and criticized the protest itself saying that during the protest the protesters had distrust among themselves.
On 20 July 2020, Anon, a lawyer and political activist posted message on his facebook criticized Col.Nusra's comment saying that he will go to the Royal Thai Army Headquarter in the same day at 5 pm. to expressed his criticism and disagreement. Anon also comment that Col.Nusra's message could be interpret as a demand to use force against the protesters.
During the protest, 4 major speakers including Anon, Piyarat, Parit and Panupong. Speech at the protest were mainly criticism to the Royal Thai Army. During the protest, Parit also teared photo of the Army chief as a symbolic action.
The protest on 20 July went without violence incident. Later, on 3 August 2020 Anon was the first to be summoned to acknowledge accusation under Emergency Decree.
