On 1 February 2018, Gen.Prayuth Chan-ocha The head of NCPO and Prime Minister gave speech with regard to achievement of his administration for the past 4 years. During his speech Gen.Prayuth mentioned regarding the demand that he should resign from premiership if he wishes to be Prime Minister candidate that there was no law provide that those who hold position in a cabinet should resign before running for election. Gen.Prayuth said that in the previous election none of cabinet member had to resign prior to the election. He also said that "Banish me if you dare."
In the same day, facebook user name Fahsai Sirikan posted 2 video clips, one is video clip of Tanawat Wongchai one of the defendants said that he accepted challenge of Gen.Prayuth, the second was the video clip that Parit another defendant who said to Gen.Prayuth that "See you soon". Later, on 2 February 2019 Tanawat and Parit went to take symbolic action at the Government House by hung dried chili and garlic at the fence of the Government House. Shortly after they began the activity,Parit and Tanawat were brought to Dusit Police Station. Both of them were notified charge under Public Assembly Act.
On 21 August 2019, the court fined Parit and Thanawat 2000 Baht each for not notify public assemby to authority under Public Assembly Act.
